Richard "Tito" Lannom to be Laid to Rest in West Tennessee

Five decades after he went missing in action during the Vietnam War, Lt. Richard C. "Tito" Lannom will be laid to rest on March 2, 2019.  Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at the Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tennessee, his hometown.  

Lt. Lannom went missing aboard an A-6A aircraft during a night mission in North Vietnam on March 1, 1968.  The 27-year-old Obion County native was assigned to attack Squadron Three Five Aboard USS Enterprise.  When the aircraft failed to return to the carrier, a search and rescue effort was mounted.  After no evidence of the plane could be found, Lannom and his pilot were declared missing in action (MIA). 

Lt. Richard Lannom is the brother of E.H. "Ed" Lannom, President of Forcum Lannom from 1971-1983, and the uncle of John Lannom current Partner in Forcum Lannom Contractors, LLC.
