Project Description
The first project for the Milan Special School District was the Johnnie Hale Stadium. The stadium project consisted of the demolition, renovation, and expansion of Milan Special School District’s existing football field and stadium. The upgrades included new synthetic turf, an underground storm drainage system, flipping the home and visitors’ side, and adding new concession stands, restrooms, and bleachers. Other significant improvements include a new press box with a covered canopy and room for 400 VIP Seats. The project began in February and was completed by the beginning of football season in August.
The Milan Special School District High School renovations and additions were performed during the summer break and while classes/students were in session. The renovations were split into Phase I and II and began in November and were completed 16 months later.
In the combined phases, we constructed 11 new classrooms, a new restroom to existing classroom areas and storage rooms, and updated the gymnasium bleachers and air conditioning. We also completed the renovations of the existing C.T.E. Building, cafeteria and kitchen area, administration and guidance areas, and included a new atrium/Front Entrance.
