Thursday, May 5, 2022, American Industrial Transport (AITX) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at their Brookhaven, Mississippi location.
AITX is investing approximately $30 million into this facility expansion and will create 100 new jobs for the surrounding area. It is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2023 to help increase their resources and customer capabilities at this location.
The Brookhaven facility services and maintains railcars alongside of the CN Railroad Network. This new facility will provide maintenance and coatings for tank and hopper cars. AITX also offers wreck, wheel, and axle repair, cleaning, interior lining, and painting.
