1911
Hilt Forcum founded the Obion Cooperage Co. Inc. in Obion, Tennessee.
1914
Obion Cooperage & Lumber Co. became the Forcum-James Co. and engaged in the business of retail building materials and house construction.
1930s
The construction operations were expanded to include multistate highway & flood control operations.
1950s
Forcum-James Co reorganized and established Forcum-Lannom, Inc., specializing in municipal, commercial, utility, and industrial construction.
1960s
Forcum-Lannom Inc. became Forcum Lannom Associates and adopted the design-build delivery method for industrial construction projects and continued to focus on water/wastewater treatment sectors.
1970s
In-house industrial design-build capabilities were further developed and Forcum Lannom, Inc. became one of the nation’s most widely respected leaders in the construction industry.
1980s
With a growing reputation and expanding portfolio of Industrial clients, Forcum Lannom Inc. gained extensive experience in securing and administering grant and incentive packages for our client’s projects.
1990s
Centex Construction Group acquired Forcum Lannom Associates; creating Centex Forcum Lannom Engineering & Construction and began focusing solely on industrial and commercial projects.
2003
The company returned to a private ownership status and became what we are today, Forcum Lannom Contractors, LLC.
Today - Over 100 years later, Forcum Lannom Contractors, LLC maintains its standing as a nationally recognized firm specializing in construction management and design-build project delivery for industrial and commercial clients.
