Forcum Lannom Contractors (FLC) recently received special recognition from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) as part of the state’s 100-Year Business Celebration series. The event, held at FLC’s headquarters in Dyersburg, brought together community leaders, state representatives, employees, retirees, and partners to celebrate the company’s remarkable legacy.
Janna Hellums from TNECD highlighted FLC’s deep roots and ongoing impact:
“For over 100 years, Forcum Lannom Contractors LLC has been a leader in the construction industry. Founded in 1911 by Hilt Forcum as the Obion Cooperage and Lumber Co., the company has grown into a respected multi-state contractor specializing in industrial design-build projects. From retail building materials to municipal, institutional, and industrial facilities, FLC has helped shape communities across West Tennessee and beyond.”
FLC’s story is one of adaptation and excellence. Starting in Obion, Tennessee, the company expanded its reach and services throughout the decades, embracing design-build delivery in the late 1960s and becoming a regional leader in industrial construction.
