Project Description
Forcum Lannom Contractors constructed an addition to Arcosa Marine Products’ existing barge manufacturing facility in Ashland City, TN. The work required close coordination with the existing production operations. This coordination allowed the existing manufacturing operation to remain unabated during construction.
The work consisted of a pre-engineered metal building with a 69’ eave height, two 50 Ton cab-operated bridge cranes spanning the entire 125ft building width, and a standing seam roof constructed on deep foundations adjacent to the Cumberland river. The total area for the project was 42,670 square-foot, which took nine months to complete and allowed workers to perform all manufacturing duties under a new covered area.
