Project Description
Forcum Lannom Contractors served as the Design-builder for a new manufacturing facility for Miyake Forging. The 7-month project consisted of a 37,100 square foot Pre-engineered metal building, with 33,900 SF used for manufacturing, leaving 3,200 SF for offices. FLC was responsible for the equipment procurement and coordinated equipment installation for this project.
Miyake Forging produces a variety of bearings using hot and cold forging, heat treating, lathe turning, and finish machining for the automotive market. The Surgoinsville plant is Miyake’s first North American venture; they also have plants in Japan and Thailand.
